Did you know that the dream of every fisherman on the high seas is to achieve the Grand Slam, or fish in the same 3 days billfish species of fish (the ones with the sword). It is an extremely difficult goal could be achieved only in the tropical oceans, preferably the Pacific (the only two in the Mediterranean species swordfish, and billfish are the spearfish). Well, on my last fishing trip, made with my 10 year old son in the Pacific region on the border between Panama and Colombia last August, I not only achieved the Grand Slam but we risked the Double Grand Slam, as my son has just caught his first Blue Marlin (of 350 pounds, something like 180 pounds) but also Sailfish two (billfishes). There was no other Black Marlin and we achieved a record result! In any case we are not asking too much to luck, which has already given us so many emotions. For peace of mind of animal lovers, the three marlin and two sailfish caught were promptly released after they applied the tag of the program scientific research of the Billfish Foundation.
